Okay, I'm not really going to answer the question of whether Views is awesome or Views is terrible; it's not a fair question and there is no one answer. Nor is this going to be a debate or diatribe. Instead, I will help people to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Views.
There is way too much to cover in a short session and I am not going to even attempt to touch on everything. And to be totally upfront, I will start the session by quickly going over some of the awesome things about Views and then I will spend the rest of the session highlighting the inherent shortcomings of Views and why a person might choose to not use Views in certain situations (for example on a Large Scale site).
Note: Although I have marked the Experience Level as Intermediate, the session should be totally accessible to Beginners. The truth is that the shortcomings I will address don't really become a concern until a site-builder / developer is at an Advanced experience level. However, I will definitely not be going into the complexity or level of detail that would interest Advanced Drupalers. So, Intermediate it is.
